yayaba
Hello fellow Linux Users. I recently installed Red Hat 9 for the first (!) time ever on my Centrino notebook and it seems to run pretty well :) However, I'm not exactly sure how to enable the APM features in the kernel. I read that you have to modify some config file but I'm not exactly sure how to do that either. Also, is ACPI usable in RH9 or would I need a newer kernel like the Fedora ones? Sorry for the newbish questions but if someone could give me a quick step-by-step or link me to a guide I'd appreciate it :) (After this it's Wi-fi support :p)
kongit
ACPI isn't usable in rh9 by default. I'd grab a fedora kernel (Y) . Get the latest 2.4 fedora one. 2.6 ones are a major hassle in redhat 9 acpi is better than apm. to start apm append apm=on to the boot options I believe. yayaba
Hm, it says that the APM drivers aren't installed though. How do I install them?
