Nero Burning program causes hibernation problems in XP

If I was to go into Hibernation right now, and then boot up my computer at a later time, it works perfectly.

But...

If I was to go into Hibernation the 2nd time - I get to the screen "Preparing To Hibernate" and that's as far as I get, I once waited for 15 minutes (Max), and then cut the power supply (there was no other way). And then it reboots.

Solution: Uninstall Nero.

Can anyone recommend another burning program for Win XP?

Will Easy CD Creator 5 work?

Try renaming Nerocd2k.sys

You only need to change the extension to say,,, .bak or you can delete the

file entirely. Reboot and a warning will inform you that this driver is

being deleted from startup. You will have to reboot again to access your CD

drives.

If you really like Nero, and don't want to change, I think you should hang on and wait till Oct25 or later cuz I'm sure Ahead (Nero's maker) will release a patch to correct that problem. Or maybe even before Oct25. :D
