LordHatrus
Is it REALLY the USB not working, or is it that you have an unsupported USB device? when in doubt, recompile the kernel.
okraits
nforce drivers are in kernel now Above which version does the kernel include nforce drivers? BTW, i've got a newbie question: there's the kernel version 2.6.x for some time, but most distris include a kernel version 2.4.x. Why? Is 2.6.x so unstable? Why? Is 2.6.x so unstable? Nah... 2.6 is still sortof 'new-ish'... The larger distros are coming out with 2.6-based releases now. Some already have, and others will in the next month or so... kongit
nforce works great with linux if you have everything set right (that is usually true with most all hardware). If you can't get it to work with the 2.4 kernel or you feel like you have the time to get the 2.6 kernel to work upgrade. While there is a definite increase of speed with the 2.6 kernel I haven't noticed any drastic improvement in terms of device support. In fact the driver for my vid card in 2.4 works better than the one in 2.6. But I am assuming that since you are using the nforce that you have a nice vid card in which case you would need drivers from either the maker or from another party and not the one included in the kernel and x to get the best results from your vidcard. :)
