Suse 9.0

Recommended Posts

On a rampage to get a good distro of linux my next stop after mandrake 10 is suse 9

question is - is there anywhere where i can get ISO images of cd's instead of just download couple thousand files seperatly?

all the mirrors i've looked at dont have them? jus thousands of single files

*doesnt like the idea of tryin to sort out tons of files onto cds*

Thanks Scott

Ok it appears there are none?

Take it the best way is to buy a copy? last time i checked it wasnt expensive?

The iso live eval runs reasonablly well but wud i be better waiting til 9.1 comes out or will 9.0 be updateable to 9.1?

You can wget from one of the mirrors and have a complete copy you can have on a server and export it out to install it locally. Still not the ".iso" thing, but SuSE doesn't do their downloads that way. They prefer people to download from the mirrors. That is the one thing that has held me up from trying SuSE (though I did download the LiveCD).

the only other machine i have doesnt have enough space on it to download the files so tht goes out the window 2

All Well - will wait til 9.1 is released and then buy a copy
