skiiper
I thought that matter cannot be destroyed or created. under normal circumstances, that is true. but we know they can be destroyed if a particle comes into contact with its anti particle. it happens, just not very often around us. an example is an electron coming into contact with a positron. the eletron has a charge of -1, and the positron has a charge of +1. they have the same mass and their spins are directly opposite eachother. When they touch eachother, a reaction called "annihilation" occurs and radiation from the entire electromagnetic wavelength (energy) is produced. Med-X
Since my normal reply button is not working im using quick reply, GD! i reckon that anti-matter is real, and that yes the Illuminati exist, and that they created anti-matter first..... HOWEVER! is there a point to this convo, i dont think there is.... but it is REALLY interesting! :D you quys should take the "A qantum theory poll" in Neowin.net>Forums>General and off-topic>Poll Station its pretty good :D
prozak
If any of you have read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown then you will know more about it.Everything in the universe has an opposite. Light - dark, Happy - sad, war - peace, sky - ground, etc. Matter must have an opposite called anti-matter. Supposedly, it is extremely unstable when it comes in contact with anything including air. One small drop can have the explosive power of the Hiroshima bomb. The only problem is that it is hard to create and has only been seen in outer space so far...that we know of. Another thing mentioned in the book was about an underground cult made up of scientists called the Illuminati. I guess the pyrimid and eye on the back of the dollar bill is their doing and also one of their symbols. It makes sense though. What does a pyrmid have to do with America right? Anyhow, if any of you have read the book, let me know what you think about the conspiricies mentioned. its not oposite, its the same thing in a diferent pole or side light is same as darkness in a diferent vibration... whoever understands this in here send me a message probably you are the kind of people i would like to talk to.. Med-X
I like your style Prozak, you may however be, just a LITTLE bit advenced for my HAMSTER intelligence as some MORE NOTABLE ppl have mentioned, you know who you are..... anyway, i did understand your point Are you all aware that scientists have in fact made a canister than can hold a nanogem of Anti-matter :D its a 100kg tube, with a magnetic field, pretty cool stuff, alas, i cannot remember the site..... -ENd TRANSmISSiON-
JoDaddy
I read the DaVinci Code - thought the ending sucked. But the first book I read on the Illuminati was really good. It was called 5/5/2000 or something like that. (it's the date al the planets lined up) It said the Illuminati were supposed to have secrets to help keep the world alive. Really interesting read; check it out if you can. Personally I think the Masons are just like a big fraternity for guys who have a lot of money and/or power. So sometimes they probably do "pranks" but for the most part their harmless. Just my opinion. They are really interesting, though.
Med-X
Damn right. im more interested in the Anti-matter than the illuminati though... has anyone here considered that if even a gram of anti-matter got into the hands af a terrorist or a real dick head.... we'd be screwed? H5N
Yup, I have this book. Really good and knowledgeable. So CERN has created antimatter? It doesn't say so on their website. Here is their website. This organization is also the original creator of the World Wide Web. Many people think it is the Americans who created it first. I don't know what else to say. It would be really good if you didn't read this book, you read it. :)

InnocentKiller
WHAT? Teh US didn't CREATE0rz THE WWW? It must therefore be crappy, because t3h US is t3h best! Yay us! Ahem...sorry. As for the Illuminati, I could've sworn that they were a French society (I agree with whoever said that above) of people with high intellect. I could be wrong...but the whole thing is very interesting. Could anyone read back over this topic and list all the books in this topic with a sentence or so about each one.
