,Apr 17 2004, 09:53] will the email be @neowin.net or @something.neowin.net?

Hmm, I don't think so. I remember I read an article somewhere saying that it may cause confusion -- that is are you a nw staff by having an @neowin.net? Also, I believe that if they do so by having @neowin.net as email server, it may increase the server load.

as they've got two servers (i think) they set the MX to the other server, so the other server can handle all the mail instead of this one.

voodoo answered this for me. @neowin.net is staff, @neowinmail.net is the paid service. (Y)

Has anybody gone through and actually subscribed? It's $12.18 USD, for anybody who cares. I didn't subscribe, I just clicked until you had to pay.

hmmm paid service?..

what's so special about their service?

people just like having a @neowin.net tag which then became @neowinmail.net

  • 2 weeks later...

The script addon isn't fully done yet but if you want you can already subscribe (you'll be emailed by an admin with further details)

It's not officially launched yet though
