wtmcgee
well, it's about time for me to go back to school. with that said, i need to cut back on spending on things like ... computers and gadgets. so, i've sold my xBox and some other goodies like that. next on the chopping block is my 1ghz powermac and my 20" cinema display. not only do i need portability, but i need to save some money. so, i'm putting my beloved 20" display up for sale, after only having it for 2+ months. and, i've only had the powermac for less than a year - but that's the way it goes. i'm either going to buy an 800mhz iBook, get it BTO with a bigger HD, bluetooth, and max out the RAM when i get it, or i'm looking to get a good 12" powerbook used off of eBay. either way, i want to stay under 1300-1400. so we'll see. without any further ado, here are the two auctions, if anyone is interested. i'm more than open to ending the auction early, or selling the two items together if someone wants it. 1ghz Powermac, 1GB RAM/Combo Drive/60gb HDD 20" Cinema Display, like new i can post pics if anyone is interested. wtmcgee
it'll all work out. i'm hoping to get around 2 grand total for the two items - i think that's reasonable. that will leave me with around 700 bucks to pay off outstanding debts once i buy a new iBook or pBook. my goal is to pay off all my debt - about $3200 - before the end of august. i should be able to do it :D

SonComet
Congradulations on selling both. I just have to say that I am stunned that that G4 retained so much value. My wintel computer is much newer than that G4 and was not on the low end when I bought it (yours was the bottom range of that G4 line from what I can see), and I highly doubt I could get anywhere near what I paid for it. Maybe I could get 60% (new single 1.25 G4 is 1,199 with student discount and you got 1,099 for a year old 1.0, wow) of what I paid, lol. Anyways, enough ranting about the value retention of Mac's, hopefully you can pay off that debt now.
