Ron R
When I open Neowin I get a warning from Spybot about TargetNet. I have ran Spybot,AdAware and Norton Virus check, but this persists. What is next?

Frank
Looks like you have turned on the immune function in Spybot S&D, and set it to ask before it blocks bad stuff. I have this turned on, but just set it to automatically block. So either turn it on to automatic, turn it off, or deal with the popups :)
HipHopaholic
hey is it normal that firefox get cookies that are spyware? Or is firefox immune to cookies with spyware. like targetnet from neowin. I get teh same spyware cookie found by spybot, using firefox. i know this is a stupid question but you will never know if you dont ask :p
Frank
hey is it normal that firefox get cookies that are spyware? Or is firefox immune to cookies with spyware. No browser is "immune" from spyware, cookies, or viruses. This is a common misconception with FireFox and other "Special" browsers.
john smith 1924 Veteran Posted April 11, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 11, 2004 Fx is actually 'immune' to spyware + virus + malicious scripts delivered via activeX. Why? Because it doesnt use it! Fx comes secure by default, and doesnt actually prevent 99% of popups.
