detn8r
I apologize if this has been brought up before, but your forum is just too damn big to search ;) Is there anyway a regular member can edit their topic title, and be able to delete a post if it's not needed? I know moderators/admins can, but it would also be more convenient if members could as well.

RadishTM Veteran Posted April 12, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 12, 2004 No, it won't happen as we don't want to give you the "awesome power" of doing that ;) Radish?
Keldyn
No. There would be far too much potential for abuse. Besides, leave it to us to decide what is and is not appropriate. That is our job.

shockz
Back in the days of VB i remember this guy deleting all of his posts on purpose and the entire thread was useless after that (I think). Another person did that too but instead of deleting posts he just edited them to a blank... which is one of the reasons why you only have 30 mins to edit a post now. Ivand
I know that deleting posts is a big power but what about the thread titles that only the one that created the thread can change it for around 30 minutes?

Banzai
I can see why we cant delete our own posts. But I think we should be able to change our own titles. Also when i want to edit a post half the time I cant edit it why?
Dazzla Veteran Posted April 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 13, 2004 Cause there's a timeout on editing posts. The thread starter has unlimited time to edit his first post.
