why doesn't neowin have one?

No, I want to find someone to make my plate. Remember, we don't have front plates. :p

Ahh that was a front plate, gotcha. See, in Virigina we have both back and front plates so I can't use your idea. Then again, we aren't even allowed to have the Top area (where "Neowin would go) of License plate frames either because it covers the state name.

Ahh, so you could use it instead of an official front plate. Scheemin'

Hey BTW - you should have your car shipped out to Australia! Here in Victoria, the first toll road we ever had was built about 5 years ago. Thing is, there are no toll booths - it's electronic! You drive under the 'toll gantry', your E-Tag (thing that identifies your car) beeps, and you get tolled onto your E-Tag account.

Point is, if you don't have an E-Tag, it takes a picture of your FRONT plate, adn you either get tolled (if you bought a 'day pass' to spare the expense of paying E-Tag account fees) or you get fined $100. But if you don't have a front plate...

We have the exact same thing in Ontario/Canada. A toll-booth-less toll highway. Only difference is that ours will take a picture of the BACK plate. We call it the 407. One problem with it is that the government sells these blue plate covers. Apparently, the cameras can't read the plate through these covers.
