dicchicora
Had to restart my computer, however, it says that there is a file missing or corrupt! It's the boot screen file, the ntoskrnl.exe or something like that. Tried going into safe mode, no can do. Tried going to Last Known Good Config, nope! Went to repair it off the cd, nothing! Can anyone help me? Or do I have to just reinstall with a fresh copy?

mtgriffith
I run into this all the time at work. We used to setup new computers with a 504 MB C: partition for DOS then use the rest of the disk for a D: partition for Windows NT. It was never a problem until we started getting larger disks. I've know that Windows 2000 has the same problem and I would suspect that Windows XP does too. You should limit your system partition to 7.8 GB. http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...b;en-us;Q114841 Your best hope is to take your hard disk out and put it into another computer. Use a disk defragger like Diskeeper. Then use a program like Partition Magic to shrink your system partition.
