Mp3 Dload Problem

Recommended Posts

Everytime i try and click on a link to a mp3, for instance on mp3.com, it will automatically save the mp3 to a temp folder and start playing it in winamp, but i want it to prompt me to save it or open it, and let me specify where it saves to, so how do i get it back to that state?

Zoneblitz61, what OS are you using? You should be able to do the following on windowsOS after winMe: Get to the "Folder Options..." window (one way is to go to an Explorer window & click Tools>Folder Options...) Select the "File Types" tab and find the MP3 extension. Highlight it and click the "Advanced" button. You should see a new window and towards the bottom there should be an option to "Confirm open after download."

:(

Okay, I just tried this on WMA, but it doesn't work. ::lame:: You might want to try it anyway though. Of course, if the file type is not associated with a program, you'd be asked on what to do with the file *.mp3. This sucks though, then u can't just double click on an mp3 file to play it in your favorite player. :( dang

:ermm: sorry if this wasn't much help
