Toxikk Veteran Posted April 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 20, 2004 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor..._len&id=1785927 i still am convinced they should try to get something for him. the fact that he is a two time mvp alone should make worthy of atleast a 2nd round pick. i sure hope that bulger never gets hurt.
Steffan
Times has sure changed in St. Louis. You go from winning 2 MVPs and winning a Super Bowl to looking for a new team to play for. Warner can still play. There are teams that are looking for a starting QB, so he will be in demand.
....
This is squarely on the Rams head. Warner is still a very good QB. I think he never fully healed, and the Rams just played him anyway.
Laughing-Man
Look at the broken leg injury at the beginning of McNabb's season. He wasn't 100% for the first few games and then he turned out alright in the end when Reid stuck with him despite harsh criticism. I just think the Rams should have stuck with Warner in the QB position and let him play no matter how bad he was doing because I think he would have eventually gotten out of his slump, but the Ram's head coach caved into the pressure. There are a lot of teams that need a QB so I do not think Warner is going to have a hard time finding a new team.
IlliniPi
I think injury influenced their decision a bit too much.
