Laughing-Man Posted February 26, 2002 Share Posted February 26, 2002 I am trying to put Half-Life and Counter-Strike on my roommates computer and he gets that overflow error. So I downloaded the fix that was released for it, but when I install it, it puts the hw.dll in a fail folder. Well, I tried to replace the hw.dll that is in the Half-Life directory with the one that came with the fix. After I did that when I run Half-Life it says the game has been modified and it will not execute it. Then when I replace it back with the original .dll it will go back into the game, but since it is not the patched one he gets the overflow problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to install that damn patch so it replaces the .dll file? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Laughing-Man Posted February 26, 2002 Author Share Posted February 26, 2002 Dah nevermind I am an idiot. There are two versions of the fix, one is for the mod and one is for retail.
