Fedora Questions

Recommended Posts

I have a copy of Fedora Core 1 atm....

Would i be best downloading Core 2 test 2 or waiting for the final release?

Is there going to be a long wait on Core 2 Final being released?

The reason i'm asking is Mandrake 10 community has been a right pain to work with!... and still my adsl modem refuses to work with it even though the drivers are installed.. or kinda installed i shud say... problems galour!!!

Anyway i thought i'd giv fedora a go

i'd wait for any sign of a stable release from the fedora team honestly, right now i would only use fedora to submit bugs because there are a lot of them!

Fedora Core 1 is perfectly good. Update your kernel (even to the newest 2.6 version, if you want) and you are good to go. (Y)

According to the Fedora site, we can expect FC2 to be released in May.

(and, I would recommend staying away from "test" or "beta" or "release candidate" software, unless you are a tinkerer and want to help the community by submitting bug reports.)

I'm running Core2, Test 2 and it seems fairly stable to me. I keep it up to date via apt-get and I've only seen a couple of niggly bugs so far. What bugs are causing you guys problems?
