Winston Share Posted October 22, 2004 Is it actually worth getting a 20"? I mean i'm planning to get a 19" for my next upgrade, and the 19" cost 830 AUD and the Dell costs 1400 AUD, is that 1 inch gonna matter?
salterbomb Share Posted October 22, 2004 that inch will give you 1600x1200 native while the 19" only goes to 1280x1024 native.
KayMan2K Share Posted October 22, 2004 that inch will give you 1600x1200 native while the 19" only goes to 1280x1024 native. 584784856 That mattered to me.
mzkhadir Share Posted October 22, 2004 That inch wont matter if you have a crappy video card because it will slow your pc gaming down when at a native resolution of 1600x1200.

AndyD Share Posted October 24, 2004 How do I get Auto Adjust to work?? I press the button but nothing happens. Could it be that it doesn't work when using DVI?
Redestium Share Posted October 24, 2004 How do I get Auto Adjust to work?? I press the button but nothing happens. Could it be that it doesn't work when using DVI? 584794996 Mine auto adjusted on dvi the moment it was hooked up.
Winston Share Posted October 24, 2004 omg.... it's so much cheaper to purchase this monitor in the US, than AUS, omg... US's converted price to AUS is 915, and the original price over here for AUS is 1430, that's BS!!
khaos34 Share Posted October 25, 2004 As far as I know, auto-adjust for almost all LCD monitors doesn't work when you have DVI - that's one of the purposes of DVI. Since it's all digital, everything is automatically adjusted for you. The analog connection needs adjusting, though.
AndyD Share Posted October 25, 2004 Makes sense...I just wanted to make sure that DVI mode was the reason why it wasn't working since the manual does not mention this. I do have another question... FOr those who bought the LCD on EBay and are in the US, does the warranty still apply even though you bought from someone else? I'm trying to get Dell to transfer the ownership but so far not having much luck.
cha0s Share Posted October 26, 2004 I ordered mine on 10/20/04, was suppose to be sent out today. But instead I recieved this... "We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 11-09-2004." Now I have to wait longer!! Worth the wait I guess
salterbomb Share Posted October 26, 2004 ^probably because of the price drop. people who couldn't afford them at $1000/$950/$900/$850 can now afford them at $650.
cha0s Share Posted October 26, 2004  hence, why I ordered one. But now I'm glad I got free shipping, because I'm not really out any money :D
