EmuZombie Veteran Posted April 22, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 22, 2004 firewalls with prompts and people who jump to conclusions dont mix well together  Its simply caused by a corrupted SQL packet sent from neowin while you were browsing, most likely caused by network congestion
Steven
This is how bad rumors start people. Investigate your claim before saying something. :s 1. Neowin uses MySQL so it can't be MSSQL. 2. Neowin uses Linux so this can't be a threat either because MSSQL doesn't run on Linux. Only runs on Microsoft Windows. Solution: Stop being paranoid, turn off your pc, get a router. This way you won't be annoyed with False Positives of Software Firewalls. Always taking a nap will relieve your paranoia too. :D Edited April 22, 2004 by xStainDx
Redmak Administrators Posted April 22, 2004 Administrators Share Posted April 22, 2004 It's probably Norton that screwed up (it's not that good) Also be aware of this http://www.eeye.com/html/Research/Upcoming/20040419.html (not sure if this has been fixed or if it's legit)
