Windows Media Player 10 Screens Hit the Web

Recommended Posts

Neowin had posted some screenshots of the next version of Microsoft's Windows Media Player that showed some of the new skinning that supposedly will be part of release 10. It sounds as the Media Player 10 technology will be part of the Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 product (code named "Symphony") that's expected this fall. But Neowin's now removed the screens, at Microsoft's behest. Meanwhile, speaking of audio content, folks are really starting to talk up "Janus," Microsoft's DRM system that is expected to power its MSN Music service due out this fall.

I saw the screenshots. Wasn't anything to drool over. They were much the same as the current version, plus some more chromish buttons. That's about it...

Janus project? Wasn't that a project in Judge Dredd where they created a new "human" race of super cops, which went totally wrong.

Yup, among other things.

If it's only for MCE though I don't care.
