markwolfe Veteran Posted April 22, 2004 Veteran Share Posted April 22, 2004 I'm downloading Fedora DVD Edition now.So, Does it has support for ITE8212 chipset ?? According to http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/ker...402.1/0395.html this site found by http://google.com/linux , it looks like the 2.4 kernel (in Fedora Core 1) definately supports the chipset you ask about. However, the author of that post could not locate any 2.6 kernel support (odd, as it *should* be there in 2.6 as well). So, if you are d/l FC1, I would say you have a near 100% chance. FC2 (well, the text/betas, anyhow) may be trickier, but *should* be supported. Usually features are added, and the only items depreciated or dropped are the obsolete items. I would guess FC2 betas have a 90% percent chance of working. As usual, your actual mileage may vary... ;)
