c@ddy
Well his is my first post in this exelent board. I'v been browsing the board for a while and with the knowledge of people around here I hope someone can help me with my problem. On one of my computers i have installed winxp-pro and everything works fine exept the soundcard. I have alle the sound i want, but i am unable to get my speaker icon to stay in the tray. Every time i turn off or restart my pc it is gone. If i open control panel and sound devices it is hooked off to show icon in the taskbar. I have to turn it off and then on again to make it appear again. I have a Soundblaster PCI128 and have tryed every driver that i can find. Can someone plz help me???
Roger H. Veteran Posted February 26, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 26, 2002 i've never had that problem but if it's not then lock your taskbar. Right click your tasbar and choose lock.
topher1078
This may sound like a condescending response, so I assure you that it is not, but have you checked the auto-hide feature of the system tray, by right-clicking it, choosing properties, and checking to see if the volume setting is set to be hidden under by customizing the inactive icons? PM5K
I was going to say hide inactive icons, but since he has to re check it in the control panel sound properties I'm not sure what it is.
