Steve
...How much ya reckon I could get for it? Personally I don't 'want' to sell it, but its looking like the obvious option. I'd be looking to get a 15" Powerbook, because of portability and all, but well, not if its gonna cost me the earth to get one. If i was to sell it, i'd be selling: G4 Cube - 500Mhz 1.25Gb RAM 120Gb WD (7200 / 8mb Cache) HD GeForce 3 64Mb ADC 17" Apple Studio Display. Wired Pro Mouse and keyboard ...Thats about it, i think. I'm not sure about it right now, but well, its on my mind... - I'm in England too (*Points @ avatar*) so that means quite a bit...

uniacid
why don't ya try looking on ebay and check other cube's out then price yours and sell it on ebay if possible or maybe even pricewatch
Steve
I did look on eBay, but nothing in the UK seemed to compare. I bought it last year @ stock specs, 500MHz / 128Mb RAM / 20Gb HD / GF2Mx 32Mb. the ADC GeForce3 alone goes between $350 and $500 on eBay... But I'd really want to sell it all, including the Display - Otherwise I'd never afford a PowerBook :p What's 'Pricewatch' thats a new one on me... Crowmac
On my experience with being an active buyer on Ebay you would probably fetch in about ?800 to ?1200 and thats probably tops as people would go for a G5 for that amount of money anyways. oik
www.pricewatch.com is a website where you can compare the best prices on computer items... they don't sell anything, they just link to vendors.

am_fek
How old are you? What I mean is, are you of working age? I'd just save up for a few months if I were you. Don't sell your Cube, it's a classic.
Steve
I am 19, but in truth for me, two Mac's is overkill - for me. I didn't want to sell it, but the prospect of being away for three months makes me think I might as well, certainly when after selling, I wouldn't need all too much for a DVD-R 15" PowerBook. I would love to keep it, like you say it is a classic, but at the same time, thats its selling point (and the reason i bought it in the first place). Yea BTallack with Apple's differences in prices + the weak dollar, I'd imagine you could buy TWO G5 towers for the kind of money I'd want! haha... Stupid! :( To a Brit tho, I'm tempted to... crackhbob
The reason I believe he mentioned pricewatch is because of their newly added classified ads. You can post them for free.
