Dead Messiah Posted April 27, 2004 Share Posted April 27, 2004 When I try to install Windows XP Service Pack 2 on one of my computer I keep getting this error that 'lsass.exe' is open or being used by another user, and that I should close some programs and retry. I try to close it but I can't close it because Windows says it's a required file; so I have to end up canceling the installation of XP SP2 on that computer. Has anyone else had this problem?
