OPaul
The correct date.
Steffan
it could be the mail server of your isp
OPaul
Well it's my mail server on one of my machines and the date is set right on it. Plus like I said, this only is happening to Neowin emails. I guess if I'm the only one with the issue though it must be something on my end. Steffan
It could be on neowin's side. If the email goes from neowin straight to your mail server, the date on their server could be off.
Wannes
it most proberly is from neowin. is your time on neowin set correctly? go to My Controls >> Board Settings >> Set the time there to your location
OPaul
Nah, it's set to the right time zone. The thing is the time doesn't ever change, they are always dated 7:00PM.

Wannes
hmm have you tried in other mail clients or webmail? :/ try a few things that may cause this from your point. from what i have read it works fine for other users so its not likely to be a neowin problem. OPaul
Odd, OE gets the correct date and time. Must just be a Thunderbird issue.
Wannes
there we go. ;) now who was the guy blaming neowin for this? :p
OPaul
I never blamed Neowin, I asked if anyone else had the same problem then I said... I guess if I'm the only one with the issue though it must be something on my end. although it is odd this is only happening with emails from Neowin. Wannes
heh sorry. well it is most likely to be a thunderbird issue now. anyways, you got it solved that's important. i guess you should just cancell neowin emails and check neowin everytime. OPaul
Did Neowin recently change the fields they use to send out mail? Checking some of the previous emails I got they had the correct dates and it's only in the last few days where the date field was missing. I've found out that the 12/31/1969 date is the date Thunderbird will put when there is no date field in the header of the email, most email clients (such as OE) will put the current date instead.
