johnhood
Sorry if this has already been addressed elsewhere. However, what has happened to the elusive "Home on iPod" feature included in some of the early 10.3 Panther pre-release builds? Is Apple holding back for a future 10.3.x update or Tiger? the evn show
This was a rumor or hoax depending on you look at it. Take a look at any of the builds from WWDC -> today and be amazed that it isn't in any of them. Chances are it's sitting in the same source file as the 'piles' that everyone thought were coming. BTallack
Y'know, come to think of it, I was wondering where the piles feature was when I got my Mac... The home on iPod would be useful for students, but it's overall practicality isn't that high.

Actually, it was on this page for a few hours when they first replaced all the Jaguar info. with Panther information. I saw it with my own eyes and it was also reported on Mac sites. Elliott
I saw it as well. Apple really was going to release it. I'm not sure why they didn't....

Yeah, it wouldn't really be that great, but it would be pretty cool to have your personal account on any mac with 10.3.
mr_daemon
And... what the hell were Piles supposed to be anyways? I just vaguely heard about them, a while before I really got into the Mac community.
