Nox is definently the best game Westwood Studios ever released, I miss that game and I want to find some more similar games, one of the best RPG games ever.

Harsh words not taken lightly from an avid C&C fan. :pinch:

I personally think RA2 was the best thing westwood ever put out.

But we're all entitled to our opinions.. just offering mine :p

NOX is fun RPG game because it's not as serious as the others, I hate games totally built around the devil, for example you play a guy from the 1990's time who travels to the past (where you'll find all the classic RPG characters such as wizards) by some magical device or something I don't remember.

No, didn't enjoy NOX. We got it at the gaming center I worked at for a tournament, after the tournament no one played it. Can't say I was to thrilled by the game either, although I do still have my NOX teeshirt.

i LOVE it!!

it kinda mix of quake and diablo for me :D

any fan site still alive around here right now?

I dunno. I have to find the four copies I bought...somehow they always disapeared *glares at brother's room*

But NOX was the best game ever created by Westwood (I love C&C but sorry RA2 was not as good as Tiberian Sun :p ). I wish EA would continue NOX...I miss it so much, played it from 1999-2003 religiously, made some freaking awesome friends on there, and had some very fun 4AM times...ahh...the good ol days...

NOX..... as in?!?

Which game by which publisher are you referring to? And what's that game like??

Well there was only one NOX made, and it was by Westwood, which is now owned by EA. The game was a great RPG with a revolutionary spell casting system which I have not seen implemented in any recent games (which is unfortunate). One of the best games I've ever played.

ngeGame since EA owns Westwood we are ruined. Damn EA, they buy all companies then stop supporting and distributing their games, still it's illegal for others to distribute them as abandonware, EA sucks for MANY resons and I've stopped buying games from them, bought my last EA game in 2001 and I will continue ignoring them and asking other people to do so.

EA gave me hope that NOX would come back, b/c Westwood stopped supporting it long before EA bought them. My brother said something about new maps comming out for NOX, which would make me cream my pants right now. I agree a NOX 2 would be freakin awesome, the best ever (as long as they didn't screw it up).

I mean PC Gamer gave it an 89% I don't know why they didn't make a 2, the hype when it came out and during gameplay was crazy, stupid ****ing Sim series taking all of EA's view.

yeah, EA sucks a really big time. look what they've done with c&c. down with EA!

Amen. EA could make some big ass bucks with C&C (and NOX for that matter), but Generals totally ruined C&C for me...it was not Red Alert or Tiberian Sun it didn't fit with the series at all, just a bunch of American propaganda after 9/11

  • 5 years later...

I remember Nox, I've always wanted to play it again.

It was like a more accessible version of Icewind Dale, for me!
