I intend to purchase this software its only $17 and worth my money to keep them up and running. oik
no spyware, but you can't easily get rid of the nag screen. the author hunts down pirated keys and adds them to a blacklist. when you enter a key, it checks his website. if you're number is on the blacklist, it'll say "no" and quit. then when you reopen, the nag screen is there again. Yep...and don't bother trying Serial Box, I'm sure he downloads that as soon as it comes out every month. Your best bet is to just buy it. Its probably one of the most elegant OS X apps out there. Its probably one of the most elegant OS X apps out there. I would have to disagree. I find the way he handled the interface coding to be archaic at best. Every single "tab" or whatever you want to call them causes its own personal toolbar. A basic complete lack of attention to detail in that department, and unless you just leave everything at default, the app really suffers.
Wickedkitten Veteran Posted May 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 13, 2004 I just find it amusing that he charges for an app to download warez and expects people not to rip him off.
Southern Patriot
Not much different than Kazaa or LimeWire. Both have paid-for versions that eliminate the ads.

the evn show
i can't see the difference between what you are downloading a p2p app for, compared to downloading serial box In Canada it's legal (until the courts rule otherwise) to download music from P2P services, uploading is another matter, but it's easy to be a leech in order to stay within the boundaries of the law. It's one legal use that people are likely to have.
PureEdit
You can always use acqlite, it is almost exactly the same and free. The interface is not quite as nice, but it is free.
