Windows Media Player Visual basic Runtime Error


Question

Hello guys...

I have a Machine With Windows XP Sp1..

When i try to play a Video with Media Player 9 i received this strange error

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\Wmplayer.exe

This aplication has requested the runtime to terminate it in a unusual way.

Please contact the aplication's support team for more information.

The Strange of this error is that Just Ocurred in a video that i want to watch from the Cd Rom drive, if i copy the file to my BOX i not received this error...

Have you scanned for spyware? I'd try reinstalling WMP again, and then if that doesn't fix it, call Microsoft Support.

no virus or spyware here....

I recent install Windows XP...With all the patch....

I don't browse internet with IE, i used Firefox, also I Know a little bit about computers.....

are less the concerned to virus and spyware...i must clean machines everyday at my Job

Does it happen to any other video's you burn to cd and try to play off it? What format is this video in? divx/xvid/ogm?

Those type of errors are usually spyware related though; You don't need to be using Internet Explorer to get spyware

on your system; But if it's only happening when trying to read data off the cd and play it directly off the cd it could

be out of date cd-rom drivers or misconfigured I doubt reinstalling the Visual Basic Runtime Library would hurt either
