DigitalFreedom
lol, heres my mac story, I triped on my way out of my highschool changeroom (this was a couple of years ago) and i was holding my iBook G3 366MHz right, so then when i trip, the iBook goes over my head (i'm about 6feet and 3 inches back then) hits the wall HARD, then hits the floor, bounces a bit into the recycleing bin (which everyone used as a garbage back then) i almost SH*T my pants and when i opened it it was fine, and it had... no scraches except a small one on the battery over label sticker thing, and i still use the iBook today (i've moded it a bit of cource) :) i added a dvd drive, made it transparent (it was already transparent i just opened it and removed the I/O Sheid so you can now see hardware inside :) ) and added a 10GB Harddrive :) and trust me I have an AMAZING PC, and still think i should of spent my money on a mac... too bad i'm a gamer :/ the pc specs are 3.06Ghz p4 ht, 1GB pc 800 RD-Ram, radeon 9800 pro (soon to be x800 xt :D )

insurektion
it makes me wonder what the new excuse for hating the mac will be when vpc7 with dx9 and gpu support comes out. uh that its still not a pc. wow a good emulator.
insurektion
xplatinum: are you a complete idiot, or do you realize that you just contradicted yourself?"Even when that support will come... MAC will still be miles behind in terms of number of games" if a mac with vpc7 can run any game a pc can, then how are they still behind? also, please stop helping yourself look like a dumbass and stop writing "MAC". MAC is a bank card, Mac is a computer. same way mB is megabyte and mb is megabit. fyi: i own a pc, and run winxp on it. it still crashes. not every 5 hours, but i remember my last bsod... i was running shareaza, the nic got choked up under the HUGE number of connections shareaza was trying to open, and then windows started freezing until it finally bsod'ed. though xp platinum fail to realize the point was you would be emulating games being able to run all PC and mac games. the only time windows will crash is when it is running another buggy program (or in your case overloading it but thats between you and your NIC). WIndows cant make your hardware awesome. Also if microsoft custom made PC's like apple they could make hardware perefectly optimized and compatable so you would never have a crash of windows itself. dont get me wrong i would love a dual 2.0 G5 but before that would have to come a top of the line PC. Chad
it makes me wonder what the new excuse for hating the mac will be when vpc7 with dx9 and gpu support comes out. Well this is clearly a rumour. I HIGHLY doubt you will be able to do much gaming under VPC7. Although video support would be great, most games are more dependent on processors than video cards. All video cards really give you is smoother/higher framerates. It's the processor that actually does the majority of the work. Given that a 1.25ghz G4 ran VPC6 at around 300mhz TOPS....I really doubt a G5 will be able to push out 1.5ghz+ x86 processor emulation (which is what you would need to do much gaming), even with dual processor support.
