Chode
This thread will not finish loading for me. I opened it, realised it was taking awhile, so went for a coffee. Came back 15 minutes later and it was still loading  It was having problems with an address (www.jazzmess.com). It was sending a request to the page, connecting to the page, then sending a request to the page, then connecting to the page, continually looping. Is this someone's sig messing up? Japlabot
I noticed IE doesn't render anything until all the hosts have responded.
Chode
strange. I am using Opera 7.5 (latest build), and it has been a little sloppy, I might go back a build. ps if anyone says "Use Firefox" or similar, they will be posthumously sodomised!!!! configure Veteran Posted May 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 16, 2004 also if you use firefox, make a new profile every so often. Why?
Wannes
i read that somewhere. sometimes a profile in FireFox messes up and the only way to solve it is to create a new profile. do back up your bookmarks, etc...
RadishTM Veteran Posted May 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 16, 2004 You don't really need to make a new profile, clearing the cache solves most site problems. Radish?
Wannes
are you sure about that, i think bangbang once said in a thread that a profile can get messed up. don't quote me though, i am not too sure. you start to forget things when you get old. :p
configure Veteran Posted May 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 16, 2004 That could be the case when you install incompatible extensions but I imagine that it wouldn't be the cause of this problem that he's having :p In this case, it could be that www.jazzmess.com is having a slow respond-time which stops the page from loading completely ;)
matt74441
Well that may have solved a problem that I was having with Firefox about three weeks ago. In IE, my pages would load instantly, but would continually time out in Firefox. I tried clearing the cache, but that didn't do ****. Or was I having a different problem?
