hotrod
When visiting Neowin, I almost always glance at the "Recent forum posts" and check them out. What i'm wondering is why do those links always to straight to the last post. Nobody wants to start reading a thread from the end. It just seems like it would be a time saver and save a little bandwith at the same time if the links just took you straight to the first post in the thread and not the last. Thanx for listening and keep up the good work! :D :) :p

bangbang023 Veteran Posted May 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 16, 2004 Save a little bandwidth? huh? Anyways, it's like that so if you see a thread you had replied to before on a the list, you can quickly jump to the continuing conversation. bangbang023 Veteran Posted May 16, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 16, 2004 Thread merged what point am I missing? You want to be able to click the link on the front page and have it go to the first post in a thread. However, I, for one, like it how it is. I just glance over the list to see if any threads I am participating in have been updated recently. If they have, I want to go right to the first unread post, which would be the one right after mine.
