Frank
You could always ask nicely to the moderator who warned you.....:D :ninja: (btw, before you ask me, the answer is no :p ) What if I accidently drop a 50$ bill on the floor? :ninja:
Hawkeye
As far as I remember from when this was discussed before, your warning level does not go down under any circumstance, unless it was deemed an unreasonable warning, in which case it will be removed. Also, you can get banned at anytime, no matter whether your warning level is at 0% or 100%. It's best to not push your luck. Playing Russian Roulette is not fun for most people. As far as I can tell, even if your warning level is 100%, it is still decided on a case-by-case basis by the staff on what to do. It wouldn't surprise me if in some cases a member is not banned at 100%, but rather kept on close watch instead. For this exact reason, Matt Mecham (who created Invision Power Board) even said that he didn't code instant banning at 100%, because this is something that should be decided by a human being, not a machine. Not every "violation" requires a ban. To sum it up, follow the rules, and don't push your luck, and you should be fine. The rules on Neowin aren't nearly as strict as many people believe. Seriously, when it's you against a staff member, and you are pushing his or her buttons, the staff member always wins, so it's not worth trying. I would say that even given the rules, there is still some flexibility, so the staff understands that stuff happens and somebody might need to let off some steam. Just as long as you don't do it excessively (to the point where it becomes obviously noticeable), or start to worsen the Neowin experience for others, you will be just fine.
