Chode
Why were they banned in the first place?? We respect a member's privacy, no matter who they are. Hawkeye
,Jul 26 2004, 03:25] MxxCon is now not banned? Noobies the world over shall rejoice if this is true! :D  No, his group still shows as Banned, but I think it's only fair to respect his privacy and not ask the staff about the ban, because if somebody else was in his shoes, that person would probably not want his or her ban to be discussed publicly. There is no point in assuming either, as it will only get people to think less of you for trying, and the staff would probably not say publicly what caused the ban. I would say that about 99-99.5% of bans on Neowin occur from breaking one or more of the Neowin rules, while the other 0.5-1% comprises the really small number of people who maliciously perform "crimes" against Neowin, like a certain person who used to DDoS the server repeatedly or something along those lines. As was stated by staff countless times in the past, all Mod and Admin actions are not up for public discussion and if you would like to discuss them, then just PM the person.
