Kriz
once you have it, you always have it, even if removed, you'll have scarring That isnt true, theres this new laser thing out that leaves no scarring. Although you have to go 3 times and pay ?40 a time, its good because its like you didnt even have a tattoo. My mate has this welsh word tattooed on his forearm last year, he thought it said his name in Welsh, but it actually said Rainbow. Hes had it removed now and you cant even tell that he had a tattoo there in the first place.

Night.Hawk
...it was this giant rainbow colored penis with bright golden wings. Someone actually took him up on the offer. To this day a picture hangs on the wall, a picture of a man, with his shiny flying penis tattoo. ok then..... what ever floats your boat.... Night.Hawk
how can you ask for people to indentify your tattoo if you dont post a picture of it or anything, thats like sending a blind man in to a orgy hes got to feel his way through :pinch: :pinch: :woot: ROFL!!!! LAMO!!!!! Haha... that's the best joke yet.

Raum
Hah, I love seeing people wear trendy japanese / chinese clothing or jewelry and not even being able to tell you what it means, it's so lame....but getting a tatoo without being positive you know what it means? Damn, even I'm not dumb enough to do something like that. I can't picture myself getting a chinese tatoo like that, that'd be like getting a tatoo of Vanilla Ice or something, it's just some goofy little trend that will pass, not something significant at all in my eyes, though maybe you have some special emotional connection with languages you cannot comprehend. ;) Basically, I can't picture ever getting a tatoo I didn't come up with myself, I think it's retarded to do it any other way. Raum
Picking a tattoo from a book seems like the absolute wrong thing to do :p I agree. It's like getting plastic surgery to look like a celebrity, you're taking away from your individuality.

dmeags
mine is around my spine... so it hurt a bit. Honestly, if I had to relate it to something... I thought it felt like being branded. :pinch: (not like i've ever been branded or anything, but thats what I imagine it would feel like) But it was a good feeling. It's just a bunch of tiny needles piercing your skin, if that kinda stuff appeals to you. heh...

Panacik
I would like to point out that i did NOT get a tattoo in Chinese because it is the thing to have... I did not even realise they where in fasion until after i got it, and then you notice how many people have them. My father has tattoos all over his legs arms and a huge picture of a bird flying into the sunset on his chest. Since i was young i wanted a tattoo on my left arm, and because i love the Chinese form of writing etc i chose to get it done in Chinese. So yes the popularity of these types of tattoos will pass and a lot of people will regret getting them, but i will not, as i generaly wanted it for me and not because it is the 'thing' to get. Raum
You still got a tatoo of something you weren't sure of it's meaning, which I think is kind of dumb.

Adster
I got a tattoo 3 days ago on my ankle. It's the greek Letters Phi Gamma Delta (my college fraternity). Did it hurt? Not really. When he started to go close to the bone it hurt a bit more, but anyplace where there is a bunch of skin with no bone will hurt much less. Also the thinner the skin, and usually the more sensitive skin like the forearm, will hurt more.
