Lol...spammer :shifty: :ninja: :D

Yeah I prefer to leave the postcount as it is...good to see how Neowinian dominate their posts...but do not get wrong message that post count is not definitely for spamming that would elevate post counts. It's all about contribution by members and we should respect all of them.

your dominance UNDER StaindX and Keldyn..... but over me

With all the people who are saying it will stop "spam" it won't. Not only that but people with higher post counts didn't get there by spamming, because if they spammed all the time, they would have been banned a long time ago.

It also (like other people have said) shows how much someone has contributed from the board. With neobay I am also more inclined to trust buying a $1500 laptop from someone with 3,000 posts, then with 23. Wouldn't you?

True. That's what Neowin moderators are here for and they have done the job really well (Y)

Toxikk does not spam. See he's a mod so he spends time checking threads and posting Thread moved, Thread closed, etc as well as posting his own personal posts like we normal members do and he's been on Neowin since 2001.

I see post counts as how much a member has contributed to Neowin, which means how much a member has helped any one that comes to neowin with a problem, and I also see post counts as how much experience a member has with computers.

A very well experienced programmer/designer, or a computer genius can join Neowin and have 1 post.. that doesnt make him a "n00b" or a computer illiterate.

Neowin is a community, not the internet.. :shifty:

omg wow you must feel proud

I'd like to see a ban on all Postcount bragging threads (who the hell brags about a postcount? How old are we, really?) and "It's my birthday" threads.

Both are just a waste of forum space, IMO.

When they are in the suitable forum, then why should they be banned ?

General Discussion is made for that, and "Bragging about the post count" thread is in the right forum as well.. (thats why they made the Site&Forum issues section)

so..

Right now 10 out of 28 threads in General Discussion are "bragging" about postcount.

Let me spell that out for you, because noone seems to understandBRAGGING ABOUT POSTCOUNT[/b]/b>[/i]/i>/u>

Yes, over a third of the posts there are from people who believe that others give a damn about a worthless number in their profile.

Ouch:(:(
