Load up OE and you can report bugs to microsoft.public.windowsmedia.beta. Just setup a news account.

How many of you have Mp3 ripping enabled and working? Also have you installed any codec packs on your systems?

are they going to add .ogg support? ( hmm, open source ;-) ) I know there is a directshow plugin, and that plays the content, but none of the ID3 tags work in the auto playlists. Has anyone ever figured out how to get .ogg fully supported in WMP?

Ripping should not be inlcuded in this build or any build for that matter. It will be left to third parties to provide you with FhG's encoder and i don't see it in the build.

This has been suggested since day 1 of the beta. :yes: I don't think you can add that functionality but it is being looked into.

As long as there is a DirectShow filter/decoder you can install (ffdshow being the best) WMP will play all of your videos.

Nice little feature when you have playlist queued up and click on one file it ask to press previos to resume the other list.

Anyone noticing that the WMP task bar doesn't work? I can't hit pause, stop etc. They're just greyed out :huh:

Might be caused by the theme you are using. Try switching to any "default" XP themes before trying again

Still the same error. i would like to use this but i cannot get it to install.

First, hit up Windows Update and make sure you have/had all updates, then try the following.

Open a command prompt

Type: net stop cryptsvc

ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2

and finally: net start cryptsvc
