The fix for the red X at the bottom of WMP10:

Looks a bit bad, taken from WMP10 pre alpha, but it does work.

rename wmploc.dll to wmploc.dll_old in C:\windows\system32 (make sure that WMP is closed)

extract this file into C:\windows\system32\

edit: filesize is too big to upload :(

2 - I believe that's due to your Windows theme. Change it to something other than luna and I bet it changes

4 - That's obviously a bug and it wasn't meant to look that way. I bet it's fixed soon.

2) i was referring to the below picture. I dont think changing my Windows theme would make any difference.

4) I hope they would change this, it looked that way since the early beta versions.

Anyone can post screenies on this red X? I dont seem to have it. i upgraded from an earlier WMP10 beta release.

So the red x is caused by nero. Anyone have any ideas what is that "space" for? I hope MS not thinking of showing what plugins we are using in that area.

As for the Online Store icons, i'll literally kiss anyone's @$$ if they could remove those icons and fix some of the UI "bugs" i posted earlier.

Its shown when you have any plugins running in the background.

You can remove the big white area and the X by copying Bitmap resource 2014 and 2015 back into wmploc.dll. I have sucsessfully done it (check pic ^^). Doesnt look great, but its a lot better than a huge white area :p
