Awesome: open a file in explorer and it'll play it, but remember the last playlist and the position in the last song you were at so it can flick back then you press 'previous'! :D

All of the registry settings are in one of the KB articles around support.microsoft.com somewhere. Download LameACM (It must be ACM) and try to get it to work. In my testing WMP uses 300MB of RAM, and hangs. It does encode the MP3's, but it's not what you want to hear when you play them back.

Sure, anyone can request anything. the only issue with that is how would you then scroll in the library or the media guide?

oo, then no need to add the MP3, actually i dont even rip CDs

and no need to map it then, since i dunno that it is for the scrolling the media guide and play list

I love the new look!! Its more modern. Anyway how do i rip cds in mp3 format? cos when i go yo options and rip music and then to rip settings all i get in rip format is wma, wma variable bit rate, wma loseless and mpeg layer-3! So how do i Rip in mp3?? and i ws wondering if there was a way to access skin chooser more easily? Thanx!!

You rip the Mp3 the same way you have in the other versions, purchase the encoder and install it.

LOL, didn't notice that :laugh: Anyway it will not work unless you have the correct encoder purchased (or) you just pirated one.

as for skins, no real 'easy' way in this build.

I am having trouble recreating this but in certain instances if I pause a song and close wmp then it will save that spot and start up where I paused it when I open wmp again.

:o I don't want to open a new thread for this so please can anybody help me with this one?

1st. Can you (unlike Media Player 9) uninstall this one?

2nd. It disturbed me a lot that in Windows Media Player 9 in Full Screen when you moved the mouse it would resize the video image,

that didnt happen with the Media Player 8 (xp) . You could move your mouse and the control menu would show up but with no re-sizing.

a) Is there a way to stop that stupid resizing at every move

b) Happens that resize thing (in full screen video mode) also with media player 10 ?

Great!  It would be so annoying trying to view the lyrics with the advanced tag editor.  They better bring some lyrics functionality back before the final release.

Nevermind. They added lyrics display like WMP9 displayed the synched lyrics. I like this. Now they just need to add a lyrics database so Media Player can just download them to the song.

How do you get it to show lyrics? I came across the option earlier but can't find it now.

All I did is add lyrics to the media file by right-clicking on the file and using the Advanced Tag Editor. I do not think I did anything special to get the lyrics to actually show up. Once I added them they just showed up. Sorry if that doesn't help much.
