Runs fine. One thing that I notice is that I have it set to resize windows when I open a video, and that takes about 5 seconds after the video starts playing before the picture shows up. Its doesn't bother me, but I hope Microsoft can work that little bug out for the final version.

No, WMP doesn't burn or read CD Text. CD Text would come from the IMAPI layer.

and if you choose high quality mode in the Performace ->Advanced then you can take screenshots without going to DX9 and turning off those settings :cool:

Highquality mode implies VMR. If you turn off overlays it'll default to VMR too, even if HQ is off. The VMR was in use in WMP9 too, that's how I've been watching videos and taking screenshots since ages.

If you ask what the VMR is, it does render video to the screen using D3D.

Just press Ctrl+H or look under the play menu, its still there. :)

Not sure who you were talking to, but the TV part of the library is for DVR-MS files recorded with an MCE PC.

yes, the preious build was an early alpha type build, this is the first tech. release

Do the rest of you have that process running after installing WMP 10? I assume it starts and stays open after you run media player for the first time after rebooting. Maybe it starts up with the computer...
