hifive
I just sold a game on ebay, and have emailed the buyer twice within a week. She has replied stating that I have not contacted her and she seems quite mad, even though I have replied to all her emails. Now, she's filed a square trade complaint against me. I filled out the complaint stating that I have emailed her twice, but I'm not sure what happens from here. Anyone? Thanks.

I use eBay but im not registered with SquareTrade, looks like a troublemaker, chances are, she has a different email address she uses for eBay, most likely an old one which she never checks and has forgotten about it. Check the email address she emailed you from and try that...
hifive
But I've been replying to the email address that she uses to send me emails. :( Also, she's stated that this is the second transaction in which she's had problems communicating with the seller.. forster
Hopefully you had the checkbox ticked keeping a copy of the sent emails? If she complains, there is little you can do about it but follow it through. You need to find some proof of backing up your claims. :/ Sucks tho, Ive had bad feedback left for me when a sale wasnt completed on the other persons behalf. Its not fair, but some people are just cretins.
hifive
Yep. I have everything in my "sent" folder in outlook.
forster
Then make sure that Ebay have a copy of them, as long as you can back up your claims there shouldnt be anything that can be held against you. Best of luck man.
hifive
How should I contact ebay to settle this? Should I send them to Square Trade since that's supposedly the neutral third party handling our problem? Would it be okay to just email them stating I have sent her emails, and attach the emails I sent?
[jon]
Dude - i know EXACTLY what it must be... Her spam filter is for some reason working overtime and is registering all your mail as spam, which is why she's not getting it.. That's the most likey explanation, I'm 90% sure that must be the reason, if she's using hotmail, the spam filter probably rejecting your mail, or whatever ISP or even a third-party app killing your messages... I have this problem all the time... :(
hifive
Ugh. Well if I change the subject so that it doesn't have the generic ebay title, you'd think her spam filters will let it pass?
MetaLRasaM
use her IP address from the email header..and see what you "CAN" do! not that i tried that or anything. i was told that sum1 did that once, and worked like a charm. da dudes background suddenly "changed"...so he would remember to pay the other person! *use it on ur own risks* :ninja: edit: added sum smileys:P
[jon]
Ugh. Well if I change the subject so that it doesn't have the generic ebay title, you'd think her spam filters will let it pass? First, don't email her from inside eBay, spam filters nearly always block that... Second, keep the header simple... Something like "Your purchase" should be OK Third, just to be sure, take out all the previous messages from the email so only your text is there... then send that - should be OK now... nwBen
,Jun 4 2004, 23:25] Something like "Your purchase" should be OK DONT do that - I have had about 10 spam e-mails in one day once with a subject like "Your account", "Your Purchase", "The Transaction", etc. - all from companies selling some marketing strategy software, etc. :pinch:

Cowpie
In a problem like this where a Square Trade complaint has been filed, dont bother with eBay at the moment, directly contact square trade and show them the proof. They will get in contact with the buyer, and everything should be A-OK; Dont loose those sent emails...
hifive
F*CK! She left me negative feedback, already. Ugh. My first one in my 3 year history on ebay. I've sent her another email already with the topic: "Payment Address for Shoes" I'll also be contacting Square Trade with proof. Hopefully there'll be a way to withdraw feedback... Damn it. hifive
How exactly would I contact Square Trade? According to Square Trade's emails, a mediator has to be hired which'll cost $20. I do not want to pay for something that is not my fault. But then again, I want to finish this settlement using Square Trade so that I can have the negative feedback withdrawn.
