Just be nice and warning levels are not a problem.

Hmm, interesting, I actually thought they disabled the thing where we could see the warning level since I don't see mine anymore and I don't see a place to enable it. Rules are in red though up top.

You can only see your Warning Level by clicking on your name and looking at the last option. Your warning level is shown. And no, you cannot enable/disable it. It is at the mods discretion.

Damn, my warning level is stuck at 0%. Anybody know how I can tick somebody off?

Can it be anybody or do I have to target a mod?

Thanks in advance...

I found that providing constructive criticism to a specific mod is a good way to get warned.

I'm not sure you found it correctly because yours is still at 0%

and I took your constructive criticism for what it was.

if mods abuse their powers I want to hear about it, otherwise you have no grounds to make such an accusation

ok? ;)

This was a while ago and a different mod, since then my warning level has gone back to 0.

ok, but again as per forum rules you can always cross reference any mod action back to an admin. If you chose not too then its your prerogative. :)

its a bit late now isn't it? and should be done via PM, also your thread may well of been just openly critical and not constructive.

Well I created the thread 5 minutes after being warned and I didn't believe it to be critical, I didn't mention any specific names or anything. But yea, it's to late now. I wasn't saying it wasn't, I was just giving an example of how to get warned.

Well theres your answer, you get warned and then decide to be critical of it publically rather than take it to the moderator.

We don't allow this on Neowin because theres no need for it, and you were clearly motivated by your subsequent warning.

Look at the forum rules, they state that any such issues deriving from moderation should be taken to the moderator or admin.
