mint0
Hey there, I'm interested in getting a small tank for tropical fish in my room, I've only looked after goldfish before, so I'm a bit of a fish n00b. Does anyone keep tropical fish? If so what fish should I get, which are easy to look after? Thanks for any help received.

Inertia
minto, what is the temperature in your room ? you may need to heat the water in the tank depending on what sort of fish you want to keep ? do you want colourfull fish ? i bet you want pink ones dont you ? like salmon, or are they only pink on the inside ? b3ta
I've got 16 Neons, 4 male and 3 female guppies as well as two spotted catfish, and 4 live plants. It's really restful to look @ at the end of an annoying or mad day. :D To keep tropical fish you need a: - heater - decent filter - an air pumpt and air stone is good, fish love swimming through it - buy at least one live plant, they're a lot nicer to look at then the plastic ones and they keep the tank environment healthy (Y) But getting back to your original question, get some guppies; they're pretty tough to kill. :/

[david]
salmon wouldn't work, they need a lake or summink. they'd get all fat and unhealthy in a tank.
