Why do our stomachs rumble when we're hungry?

I know it isn't only a way of telling us we need food, there must be a proper reason...

 It shrinks up from lack of food; signal to you: 'Hey head, FEED ME'

STOMACH SPECIFICS

A normal-sized adult stomach is a small (6") sausage-shaped container located under the left breast. The stomach is designed to hold 4 cups of fluids and solids. But since the stomach is a muscle, it can increase in size, as it responds to repeated demands, or too much food/fluid too often. How big can it get? Stomach surgery has reduced stomachs that hold 16 cups, four times what is normal.

No... the reason for the gurgling is that when you are hungry....... you have less digested food in your stomach (chime). With less food, there is more space for swallowed air. The bubbles of air move back and forth with the churning of your stomach (peristolsis), causing a gurgling noise. The air bubbles are moving into the empty spaces...

That is the real answer...
