I am pretty sure his choice of words was a little lacking. While your brain will not increases in volume by three times, perhaps your brain activity, your perception, your intelligence, whatever. Reading makes you smarter, and perhaps there is some truth to The_Decryptor's post about how it stimulates your brain in different ways because it is philosophical material. Hmm... lets see, thinking outside the proverbial box makes look at things in a different way and increased perception? Nahhhh... couldn't be.
