Bearded Kirklander
I found Neowin after getting tired of the video card fanboy wars messing up other places. I wanted to find a site to join that had less fighting and more talk, and Neowin seems less hostile. I post on forums because I spend a lot of time at the computer and don't like to go out too much because it costs money but I still like to talk to people and interact about news and tech and games and stuff. I like to learn so I ask a lot of questions too, and people online can help you with different information and links and stuff. What about you guys? Ridgeburner
I post because, this is the largest community and most diverse one at that that i've ever seen. So many different people from all over the world, coming together (der i guess that's the point of a forum huh  ) even still, Neowin is teh sex (Y)

Wait until you see the windows/linux posts, amd/intel posts, windows/mac posts, US vs the World posts, and political posts. sfalcon
Ya know...before I found Neowin, I couldn't justify spending tons of cash on new monitors...vid cards...now I'm building a whole new computer....damn it. Neowin is costing me money!!
ozgeek
I found Neowin after visiting NTFS.org (now OSNN.net). I have been visiting Neowin almost everyday because of it's large community which is full of computer users who is helpful and does not get into fights much. The moderators here does a great job of ensuring that we follow the rules. :D I am the same as you, Bearded Kirklander, as in going out. Money here is tight here as well and I wanted to get a new computer by the end of this year so I am saving.
kombolcha
because all the other forums suck :) nothing compares to the helpfulness and niceness of neowin, we probably have the most girls than any other forum too!! all the tech sites that is. Frank
Neowin seems less hostile? Wait until you see the windows/linux posts, amd/intel posts, windows/mac posts, US vs the World posts, and political posts.Almost forgot the browser war posts :p I have actually not seen many of any of these. There are a few, but anytime you bring a group of people this large together, there is ALWAYS going to be "issues". I came to neowin and didn't post in the forums for a long time. I followed the news on the front page. One day I got adventurous and ventured into the forums. I have never been able to draw back "out" since that day :) . I have learned a lot while I am here, and hopefully, I have helped a lot of people here (as many of them have helped me along the way).

altezza Veteran Posted June 7, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2004 Neowin is the best forum I've ever visited. While I may have seen that Neowin have started to become "a bit naughty" because of its members...posting the useless posts, trolling, etc. But Neowin is still a brilliant forum compared to others. We are here to assist others and we are here to become the best community and yet friendly :)
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted June 7, 2004 Subscriber² Share Posted June 7, 2004 I browsed neowin for a few months before I ever had need to post. Why do I come here? Cos it's the best forum I have ever used - varied topics, but usually on track for computing needs. I'm also amazed at the speed of the response to my questions. Agreed, it's users are getting a little annoying at times, people starting arguements for no reasons, posting useless threads - but thats just life!
