so which one of these is right? i know theyre both accpeted but generally, which one is right? which one was invented first? it better be collectABLE cuz i bet with some friends......

google is your friend but friends can be wrong. as you google it, google does that spellcheck thing and tries to change it to IBLE. im starting to think each could have a different meaning or the same.

How? you're looking at an example. It's like mum and mom or gray and grey.

There are tons of different words with the same meaning (indeed: mom, mum, mother, mama). There are also tons of words that have more then 1 meaning (macintosh (raincoat and a computer), etc, etc, etc.).

Macintosh is also a town in usa i think and also an apple :)

In the UK we generally use collectable but both are accepted.
