0 smurfiness
Well, if it's all you've got, then use it. Why are other people telling you what not to use? :)
0 John Veteran Posted June 7, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2004 Why shouldn't you use .NET? There isn't any "non-.NET" version of Visual Studio, at least not a current one... :ermm:

0 John Veteran Posted June 7, 2004 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2004 can you write a totally native app in VS.Net without lots of fiddling on? Sure you can, it supports C++ and C++ with managed extensions. But I suggest using C# or maybe even VB.NET instead :p

0 STV
if you are at a college or university that has a deal with MS to sell Visual Studio.NET 2002/2003 Academic Edition at dirt cheap prices, then buy it. it came with the ability to build navite apps as well as .NET apps. also, if i recall correctly, VC++ 6 was made before Standard ANSI/ISO C++ was "formed", so the C++ compiler that comes with Visual Studio.NET will be better standards complient, in that respect.
