aem4162
It is indeed a job title, I'm just trying to figure out what it is... and I seriously hope aem4162 is only joking. Why does it have to be 'girl' ? i missed the other definition at dictionary.com "n : a female assistant who has a range of duties" i'm not joking. it's an old, sexist term. a male assistant with the same duties is called "man friday" and is probably paid a lot more
bonobozoot
Good Google-er For Relentless International Destruction Agency YAY!pshh ez   :D  that's funny. I think the term comes because women were normally the people who were working under men. This was more prevalent and that is how the term comes out. As aem4162 points out, the men working under women are called "men friday". They do all the duties that they are required to do and much more :shifty:
.weir
wasn't there an old tv show where some dude had an assistant named Friday? Like fantasy Island or something? I thought that was where it started from

JohnsonBox
Anita's opinion was most likely proper. It meant "GG Friday" --"Good Girl Friday", because the job title is: RECEPTION/GGFRIDAY. A girl is usually good at being a good receptionist. See the introduction below: Job Title: RECEPTION/GGFRIDAY Location: NEW YORK, NY Job Term: Temporary Salary: DOE Job Description: Exciting creative companies are currently seeking receptionists and Junior Admins for short term temporary positions.
