Patrick_
Agreed :yes:You're an idiot for your "shocking" post, not for the eBay auctions. Its a really stupid post based on absolutely no facts and on pure speculation. Their TOS says that it will not be read by humans, so if a human reads any of your mail, Google can get sued for quite a lot of money. Plus, their TOS also says that they wont sell your email/email address to advertisers, so that spam idea of yours is blantatly idiotic as well. The theme on that forum really rocks, though. Yes, but do you even want machines reading your email? I think these 1GB email accounts are just so you can fit more spam in them and Google can get mroe money... Oh, and thanks. :)

Some computer sees the word airplane in one of my emails and displays a small little text ad to the right about expedia.com or something, GOOD GOD!! INVASION OF PRIVACY!! Dude, nobody cares, you're just trying to spread a bunch of FUD, please stop.
Patrick_
No I'm not! I'm just trying to warn people! Sheesh... And the way technology is today, yes I do care that computers read my email.
HellBender
I think these 1GB email accounts are just so you can fit more spam in them and Google can get mroe money... No one cares what YOU think. Your thoughts are pointless statements with no factual backing whatsoever. Many people think that machines reading your email is an invasion of privacy. That's perfectly okay. But what YOU are doing is making stupid, useless claims. If you don't like Gmail, don't use it. If you want to warn people, give facts, not FUD. What do you have in your email to hide that you don't want even computers reading? You're not just trying to warn people with the way you're taking offense to everything in this board. If anybody actually cared then it would be worth your time, but the way I see it, you're just wasting your time and everyone elses. Now please get back on track with the topic! Oh, and btw, I LOVE my Gmail account and I've completely switched, making it my primary address now.

brn2prgrm
anyone know how to find out when you have invites? When you have invitations available, a link will appear on your inbox window in red print saying that you can invite a friend, so it should be pretty obvious if you do have any. If you don't have any yet, the only thing you can do is wait for them to randomly give you an invite, or wait for fathers day, they might give each person one then. FM
That's why. ;) Regardless, I'm sick of seeing these "I'll give you my 1st born child, the deed to my house, and my car for a GMail invite" people. They need to sit the **** down and wait for the public release.
abhagwat
I'm curious, is there anything special you have to do to get invites? While all you guys talk about having 1-3 invites available, I still don't have the opportunity to invite a single person.
ryanmcv
Gmail is now reporting that I have 6 invites remaining! They must have sent another 3 invites out to some users:
