Xerino
I recently bought a 256MB geforce FX 5600 ultra from http://www.imagestore.us for $130 (US) I recieved the card today, and to my suprise its not an ultra, even though the site says it is but its just a lowly 5600, anyways I left them a nice threatning email, hopefuly they deal with this otherwise I got a few lawyer friends that would be more than happy to sue, anyways what do you guys think I shoud do? A. Forget about it and take it up the tailpipe B. persue this deal and sue C. drive there with a louisville slugger :ninja:

Preemo
A. Forget about it and take it up the tailpipeB. persue this deal and sue C. drive there with a louisville slugger :ninja: a. Taking it up the tailpipe wouldn't feel too great. b. Sueing gets ugly just for a video card and will cost you more than it would for the card altogether. c. Louisville Slugger. You can use mine if you want. :D
Piepke
Exactly, keep all the info about your order close (don't send out any originals) and get what you paid for. Try getting on the phone with somebody. Don't just let it go, you'll feel bad everytime you see that card in front of you :)
ctebah
pursue and tell how unsatisfied u are and that you expected much more and you may never shop there again. they might upgrade you to a better card then, you never know.
nuka_t
B. persue this deal and sue i hope you are kidding aobut this suing thing. sending you a nonultra card could be an honest mistake. just talk to the store and tell them a obut it.
Xerino
not likely, I learned recently that they are also a ebay shop with like 54 negs in the last 12 months
memNOC
maybe it was just an honest mistake on their part. definitelly don't forget about it.. send them an e-mail saying you expect them to deliver the card to you, and you will return them that one.. it might not be a scam.. if it is, though, and you get no response from them, then it's time for legal action. Xerino
I just noticed something interesting, Im looking at the sales order right now and for some reason the " ultra" is circled how weird
Piepke
There's a telephone number at the bottom of the site, try talking to someone in personal and tell them that there has been a mistake. Talking to someone in person will have much more effect than through e-mail.

nmeu
i would like to know where you got this card from. because i don't want to buy something from the same place... i bought 3 802.11b pc cards last week (ordered from a web store) and they are not the cards from the ad. they don't even have the specs or same chipset. and are not compatible with linux :(
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted June 8, 2004 Subscriber² Share Posted June 8, 2004 Sue? Yeah sure that'd work (NOT). People think suing is the answer to anything, whereas its actu8ally very costly, very ugly and very time consuming. However, you do have rights, you do have a receipt, and you do have good that do not fulfil that receipt. Point out these 3 facts and either ask for what you ordered or your money back. If they refuse, then seeks advice from one of your *AHEM* "lawyer friends".
Art3x
Next time get it from Newegg :D, they're awesome. Don't just drop it, make sure you get the card you ordered. I also agree that sueing in this country is out of control

oik
I got a few lawyer friends that would be more than happy to sue yea, sue, just like everybody else who gets a little offended by something... grow up. there's the bbb, talking to the company POLITELY, etc etc. you could have checked beforehand the reputation of the site, and if people said they sucked, then you wouldn't have bought from them. if they are highly reputable, they're gonna want to keep that, and would gladly help you out. sending a threatening email makes you look like a dumbass, and it's actually not threatening anybody. some customer service rep will just sit there and look for what the real problem is, and then send you back a generic email. and if you decided to sue, would the company make you look like an ass in court by pulling out this email? think before you act. Stunod7
americians sue too much. What makes you say that? The fact that we have people over here tripping over their own kids and then suing the store it happened in? This might be (okay it is) off topic but my girlfriend works in a small grocery store in our town and some little unsupervised kid was running around, picked up a jar of pickles, threw it on the ground and got glass in his eye. Then the parents tried to sue the store owner for his medical bills... It's sad to see the decline of society in the US...:no:o:
