Hmm.. having 2 problems...

First of all I don't know how to use custom images.. see this screen:

foo.jpg

I check the "Use custom buttons"... but nothing more happens.. no browse dialog to browse for the custom images or nothing.. so I hit apply and nothing happens anyway...

And as you can see I've got both zlib and pnglib installed...

Second question the album art (foo_uie_albumart.dll) is that supposed to download album arts automatically from the net or do you have to manually add them? If you have to manually add them how do you do that?

Sorry for all the questions but it's the first time I'm using foobar :p

Yes I love foobar so much and customized a lot :) But am I advanced user? :p

Yesterday I tried foo_toaster and it was very nice and cool!

All you have to do is a strip with the images in it. 7 images, in the correct order, making it one .bmp or .png that is ~175-200 wide by ~20-30 high (though you could change that too if you want). Not really tough.

And if you want a mouse over image then just make the first seven the mouse away images, then the next seven the mouse over.

started using foobar 2 days ago, i must say (after using winamp for years) it the best player i have ever used... this is what i have so far...

by the way, i have a litle problem none of my mp3tags are correct. so i just use the filename in the playlist since they are all build the same way:

Artistname - Songname

so i was wondering if its possible to get the artist and songname out of the filename instead of reading it from the mp3 tag...

A few more questions :p

How can I move around the buttons around in foobar as I've seen other people do? I try to click and drag but it won't move around... any options I've missed?

Now see this screenshot:

play.png

Why do I get an orange square instead of the orange play button you're supposed to get when a song is playing? Any options I've missed?

anybody know how to get the sidebar, especially album art like in this screen?

foobar-collumns.gif

I downloaded all these plugins (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=28647) but dont understand how to get them to work  I installed the plugins and they're in options, the only thing that shows up is the playlist tree and even that I cant get to dock on the left side of foobar  :pinch:

    • Braves ad blocking shields are their own implementation separate from extensions. It won't have any issue continuing to work.
    • Same for me. I find Adguard in general just OK. Ublock Orgin Lite works and works well. I use it on Chrome, Edge, and Safari on MacOS and iPadOS/iOS.
    • I do not use the AdGuard extension. I have uninstalled both the uBlock and Stylus extensions, as well as the Tampermonkey extension, since I began using AdGuard for Windows 7 months ago. It does not use any extension APIs, it modifies traffic system wide using a local proxy. AdGuard performs all the functions of uBlock, as well as additional features such as HTTPS filtering, cosmetic (user scripts and user styles), as well as DNS. It works with any browser and application. I don't understand why you consider the desktop program to be useless...

    • Save 31% on Samsung T7 Portable SSD by Taras Buria During the ongoing memory crisis, where RAM and storage get extremely expensive, it is hard to find a good deal on an internal or portable SSD. While we are far away from 2024 prices, Samsung is currently offering a big discount on its 1TB T7 Portable SSD, saving you 31% or $85. The discount applies to the 1TB variant, which, although not record-breaking, is still plenty for all sorts of data. The drive uses a USB-C port for universal compatibility and high-speed data transfer of up to 1,050 megabytes per second. Samsung claims this drive is nearly ten times faster than a conventional hard drive, plus you get all the benefits of solid-state memory, such as better drop and shock resistance. There is also the ability to password-protect the drive, and you get extra peace of mind with a limited three-year warranty. The Samsung T7 Portable SSD works with all modern computers and tablets, including iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones, and more. And thanks to the two bundled USB cables (Type-C and Type-A), you can use the T7 even with devices that lack USB Type-C ports. The T7 Portable is available in three colors and four storage configurations, but unfortunately, only the 1TB Titan Gray is discounted: 1TB Samsung T7 Portable SSD - $189.98 | 31% off on Amazon This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified.
